Daniel Bernoulli; Hydrodynamic Pressure

After reading this book, it was the first time I heard of the name, Daniel Bernoulli. He was an admirer of Isaac Newton, and his dream was to become the Newton of his day. Bernoulli was particularly interested in fluids because it still remain a mystery. He had entered the French Academy of Sciences four times, and he finally won when the challenge pertain to fluids. The one thing I did not agree with was his father's behavior toward his son's success. As a father, you should be proud of your children and not show any envy or jealously. His father crossed the line when he instructed the publisher to print the year 1732 of his edition before Daniel's Hydrodynamics. I think his father should have not interfere and let his son have that one moment of fame and dignity rather than crushed his dream of becoming the Newton of his day. To reflect on today, I noticed how Bernoulli developed a new way to measure blood pressure during his day, and in today's society measuring one's blood pressure is essential... it's a sign to see if you're in a healthy condition. For example, if one's own blood pressure is exceedingly high, that's a sign to many possible poor conditions such as high cholesterol or obesity.
