Michael Faraday - Class Act

When I read about Faraday, I instantly connected him to Albert Einstein's story (even though they're all connected). They both had similar difficulties in their lives which would quail many people generally, but made them more determined. Einstein was someone who was put down by the society because he was not like the others. And Faraday wasn't able to find a good job because he was illiterate. But they both didn't just go along with what the society viewed them as. They had their own goals and they became essential contributors to the world. Faraday was able to educate himself by learning how to read by himself, which would be very difficult without someone to tell him whether he's right or wrong, and by attending lectures. He was dedicated to educating himself so he does it regardless of the difficulties.
