Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton is no doubt one of the most widely known, respected, and influential scientists to have ever lived. More than just being a scientist, Newton was also a devoted person when it came to religion. Rather than keeping the two separate, as most people did at this time, Newton instead mixed the two together, helping him gain a larger insight to the world, ideas, and people. Newton most notably discovered, and explained, gravity and is known for "Newton's Laws". Newton was the leader and either indirectly or directly the main role model for all the other scientists and mathematicians mentioned within this book.

i agree with you that it is a good thing that he intermixed science in religion. maybe he had not realized it at the time but by mixing them he was saving himself from religious prosecution. people always went crazy toward scientists when they came out with a new theory, calling them atheists and such, but he was able to dodge a lot of that flak because he mixed them.
